Anderson, Indiana is a city in Madison County, Indiana, United States, and is part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 59,734. Anderson is the headquarters of the Church of God (Anderson) and home of Anderson University, which is affiliated with that denomination. Highlights of the city include the historic Paramount Theatre and the Gruenwald Home.
